As a partner with First
Book, the Washington DC based charity providing children
from low-income families the opportunity to read and own
their first new books, Poor Richard Web Press, LLC of
Southern Maryland has pledged 10% of all earnings from
online book sales to First Book. This includes book
sales from the Poor Richard Web Press Bookstore (PRWPBooks.com),
the popular Chesapeake Bay Market Online Store (ChesapeakeBayMarket.com),
as well as the recently launched
ChristmasDaddy.com.
Poor Richard Web Press began this pledge in December
2004, and has made donations on a quarterly basis.
Between the first and second quarters, Poor Richard Web
Press was able to increase its donations 115% due to an
increase in sales. We are happy to announce that as this
increase continued we were able to contribute an
additional 12% from an increase in 3rd quarter sales.
