I don't think that I can say much more than that this book brought me some very happy childhood memories. It also told me about a few adventures that I could have got into had this book been around at the time.
There was a children's encyclopedia around when I was young, which contained many similar suggestions. I wish that I still had it.
Anyway, this book is bound to have the same reminiscent effect on anyone who was growing up before children entertained themselves with computer games, and maybe it ought to be bought for our current young generation too!

This is a great book. I bought this for my son who is not a big reader and he has read this book from cover to cover. Then has come to me to discuss what he has read. He continues to back through the book looking for a project to do. I feel like this book gives back some of the innocence that has been lost by children in this day in age.

I was delighted with the book and it was very well received by our grandson and his dad too!!
The projects in it are safe even though the title makes it sound unsafe.

I was pleased with the condition of the book and the speed of delivery. I am looking forward to doing some of the things in the book with my grandson.

I originally bought this for my 7 yr. old grandson & his dad to share. My son-in-law was totally interested but my grandson not so much...yet. After looking through it, I ordered another for my son to share with his son. This book is fantastic, I know they'll all enjoy it over and over again.
Today's world is filled with so much technology that the more simple things of yesterday's childhood have been forgotten. In this book are diagrams of how to make paper hats, knots, all sorts of things. Instructions for different types of games (inside and out), history facts, scientific notes, things I had forgotten all about over the years.
You'll have to buy it to see what I mean.
This book is an excellent way to get your son off the computer and your husband away from the TV. I think it's great and well worth every penny.
