Amazon.com Review: The bible on self-publishing. Highly recommended by virtually everyone in the industry -- even other authors of books on the subject (many of whom probably followed the advice in Poynter's previous 11 editions).
Product Description: The Self-Publishing Manual, more effectively and successfully than any other book, has turned writers with an idea into successful authors with books by providing solid, usable information in clear, concise, readable lanugage. This is not the stuff of theory, it is the product of hard-earned experience.

I have written over 30 books that have been self-published, and I wish I read this book a long time ago. This is a fantastic resource for anyone who is about to write a new book. There are a lot of great books out there for people who have already written and published their book, but if you are an aspiring author, this is a must-read for you! Buy this book, write your book, decide how to publish it, and then go out and sell some copies!
Enjoy!

My copy is dog-eared, tabbed and highlighted. It is the best over-all, over-view of the self publishing process. You have to read it several times to 'get' all it has to offer. I highly recommend this book. Even if you don't self-publish, it helps to understand the process.

A must buy! If you are serious about self publishing or just want to write your book, Dan Poynter's Self-Publishing Manual is a step-by-step guide. Jam-packed with valuable information, you'll need a red pen, highlighter, page markers, or all three to make sure you capture each gem. You will use this as a reference for each stage of your writing project.

This covers a very complex process thoroughly. There are many sharks out there; this book ditinguishes them from the trouts.

This was the first self-publishing book I bought, and has proven to be one of the most useful. Dan's expertise in the publishing industry is unmatched due to his decades of experience and countless authored titles.
This book is unique in that it covers everything you need to know about self-publishing from A-Z. This includes advice on how to pick a subject for your book, how to form your own publishing company, how to go about physically producing your book, and how to tell the world about your ... Read More
