Editorial Review:

Product Description:
This book is a collection of poignant, touching, and truthful thoughts and phrases related to recovery from eating disorders or other food addictions. Inspired by AA's 12-step program, this book provides hope and inspiration for anyone dealing with food-related issues. 1) A dishonest mistake-- a lie. 2) Some people do the steps by sidestepping. 3) Count your blessings instead of counting your calories. 4) DIET: Doing Insane Eating Temporarily. 5) For the anorexic too little is too much. NOT FOR STUDY PURPOSES LIGHT READING WITH SERIOUS PONDERING Suggestion: Read one or two per day, write them down on a piece of paper and post or carry with you. 1) Relapse: When your disease is in recovery. 2) Binge: When enough is not enough. 3) Purge: An attempt to correct a mistake with another mistake. 4) Bulimia: Two wrongs to make right.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Everybody likes quotes
Having just started a rigid diet to try and lose weight after my last pregnancy, this book was the perfect read. I realize it is meant to encourage people with serious eating disorders and I don't want to detract from that awesome purpose, but I really think that anyone who has ever struggled with a love of food or weight issues can appreciate this book. The lighthearted quotes make it a fast and easy read - good for setting in the bathroom (or next to the fridge) for example. My favorite quote ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Could be a bit better
I have to say, this was very tedious considering it was pages and pages of quotes, statements, and thoughts. For one, it is based off the 12 step program for Over Eaters Anonymous yet there is no explanation of the 12 steps. So, there are some statements that are lost to the average reader. There wasn't much explanation going from one area of thought to another. The only good thing is the thoughts are put together in groups based on a specific idea. Just no explanation of why going from one area to ... Read More

I really think this will be useful for an over eater who needs encouragement and some wonderful statements to ponder. It is sectioned off into different groups, so based on your need, you can go right ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Inspiring advice for over eaters
This book republished by Tuchy Palmieri and the organizations funding the project, ([...])
has republished a wonderful book of inspirations. I found this book to have some wonderful tools to encourage people in their struggle to stop over eating. I see this book as a great tool along with an active program, which it is based off of, like Over Eaters Anonymous. It is based of the 12 step program they go through, while I have not gone through it myself, I agree with some of the other reviews that ... Read More
