Editorial Review:

Product Description:
Wulfson of Trevelyn, trusted knight of William the Conqueror, has never met a man he could not master. But in the tempestuous young widow Tarian of Trent, known as the Lady Warrior, Wulf may finally have met his match. Ordered by the king to curb an armed dispute between Tarian and her dead husband's uncle, Wulf captures the lady but falls captive himself to her seductive dark beauty.

To Lady Tarian's dismay, however, neither her fighting spirit nor her wiles are sufficient to bend Wulfson to her will. She vows she will not be the loser in their passionate battle, but her own desire for this overpowering stranger threatens her body, her life, and her very heart.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Bad Time for Women But Nicely Romantic Book
It's hard for me to be enthusiastic about books with female lead characters set in Medieval times. Basically, you had kids and died. Healthcare, cleanliness, most food, heat, water--so many things we take for granted was not available for any amount of money. Once said, this book handles an emphasis on romance with two compelling and fairly pleasant lead characters. Well written, sensual and enjoyable I will look for anything else written by this writer that's NOT set in such an inhospitible ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - THE BEST MEDIEVAL I HAVE READ IN A LONG TIME - REMINISCENT OF THE WOLF AND THE DOVE
Tarian of Trent has been recently widowed. Not that she claims to have ever loved her disgusting and cruel husband who had a penchant for defiling young boys, but she had to bed the bastard so that a child from that union would allow her to keep her rightful home.

Upon Malcor's death, his uncle seeks to marry Tarian to acquire her holdings. When she doesn't agree to the union, he throws her in the dungeon, tortures her and beats her within an inch of her life.

Her husband's ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Master of Torment
Haven't had a chance to read the book yet, but I have read several of Karin's books. She is an awesome writer, so I have no doubt this book will be every bit as good as the others I've read.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Master of Torment- A Joyfully Recommended Title
Lady Tarian is a warrior, never backing down from a fight. So when her intended husband leaves her at the altar she goes after him, and sees that things are done as they should be. But when he is killed soon afterward by his bride's hand, the young widow comes to the attention of William the Conqueror, Tarian knows it's not just her late husband's death, but the fact she's related to the late Saxon King Harold that makes her a danger to William.

Wulfson is a member of the Blood Sword, a trusted ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - A torment
I have mixed feelings about this book. Some things were good, like the heroine's spirit the growing attraction between them. But at times it seemed that passion is all there is between them. And the fact that he would kill her if his king told him to didn't help. How could a woman fall in love if she knew that any day the man she is falling in love with might kill her? And then all the wounds and suffering. I know that those were troubled times, and in general I quite like the books that are set in that era, ... Read More
