Editorial Review:
Product Description: The premise is simple: A person's ideal life, especially their career, can be carefully conceived and crafted. Based on Dr. Rao's popular course "Creativity and Personal Mastery" at Columbia University's Graduate School of Business, this book offers a series of readings, exercises, and lessons drawn from both spiritual and commercial situations that enable you to reconstruct and improve your professional world. This transformation will turn your life around and help you become exponentially more effective in your chosen career and thereby flourish in all aspects of your life. Whether you are questioning the value of money or the core values of your life, this book is a powerful tool that will help you to "discover the purpose that can suffuse your life and bring stars to your eyes."

This person is really great to have researched such basic things and come out with this method. This can become the religion of the future.

i had big-time mixed feelings about this book. there was some massively helpful stuff (especially in the first 1/3 of the book), particularly the parts about mental models. i found several tools and exercises that will impact me. but other parts of the book were too "Buddhism veiled in positive thinking business language" for me. some parts i could swap out my own language and make them work, but others i just flat didn't agree with.

At the core of Dr. Rao's book are the chapters on Mental Chatter and the Witness and ... Read More

I can't recommend this book highly enough. I was a student in the class and never read the book until a few months after completing the "Creativity & Personal Mastery" course. It was simply an incredible experience and it's like taking the course again just by reading all of Professor Rao's words of wisdom.
My only regret is that I don't get to hear his great booming voice.
It's really a great book & I couldn't recommend it any higher.

Sri Kumar Rao has simplified the successful tips and they are very easy to follow. The samrt guy will read this often and reinforce the principles until they become part of him. Good luck. Overall, one of the best self help books for a student or businessman!
