Editorial Review:
Product Description: Somebody is snatching the little girls of Wilmington, North Carolina, videotaping their rape, then tossing them in the Cape Fear River to drown. But when Richard Baimbridge's sister Martha is brutally attacked and left in a wheelchair while investigating these rapes for a newspaper, Richard rushes back to his coastal hometown to assist with her recovery only to be drawn by her into the dark underside of this quiet coastal community where he comes face to face with his tormented past and a dark family secret. My Sister's Keeper is a riveting suspense thriller that not only explores the special bond between a brother and a sister, but holds you in spellbinding suspense as it carries Richard through romance, action, and overwhelming terror. Come along if you dare. Promotional video can be viewed at the Bill Benners website. FIRST PARAGRAPH: THOMAS WOLFE WAS RIGHT. You can't go home again. And I wouldn't have had it not been for my sister s accident. I flew back to Wilmington, North Carolina, and sat vigil over her for weeks listening to the beeps and clicks of the machinery that kept her alive, pleading with her not to die. Martha was the one person in this world that had always been there for me, believed in me, looked up to me, and never failed me. And I, Richard Charles Baimbridge, could not survive without her. She kept me sane.

"My Sister's Keeper" is a thrill ride with more twists and turns than the ultimate roller coaster. From the moment Richard Baimbridge returns home to help care for his invalid sister, the suspense doesn't let up. If you're looking for a heart-pounding page-turner that keeps you on the edge of your seat, this is it.

Tje sort of book where too many impossible events take place- the writing is not bad- but cannot be compared to Jodi Picault"s "My siter's keeper" which is excellent.

Great 'murder' mystery set in coastal North Carolina. Easy beach or plane flight read. Writing is simple and straight forward, but kept me coming back for more.

Caution!! Reading this book can severely lower your I.Q. Read only if you enjoy shallow characterization, unbelievable plot twists (many of them), and cliche-filled prose.

Benners's My Sister's Keeper kept me from doing housework and other chores I needed to do. Once I started the book, I couldn't stop reading. Not only does Benners have a literary flare, but he's from North Carolina, writing about my old stomping grounds. A great first novel. Highly recommended if you like characters in constant turmoil.
