Dr. Prentiss gives rock solid evidence to what I have suspected for some time. That what is called alcoholism, is not the dead end that it has been called. But, a horrible symptom of problems which lie much deeper. A very worthwhile read for those involved in any way with addiction. Hope does indeed spring eternal.

Accounts of our battling with alcoholism were first introduced in the Bible. Bill Wilson wasn't the first to tackle this problem. So telling these stories of people struggle with it is not new. But what Bill Wilson and Dr. Bob did almost eighty years ago has never been duplicated. This book is nothing more then a guy making money off those who are suffering. This book is a revolution!!! I have long known that white knuckle approach does not work for most people in the long run. Getting to the chemistry imbalance in the patient is imperative. Loved the struggle story and the outcome, gives hope to many that just don't know that there is another way. There should be these clinics in every city in this country and subsidized in some way for those who the most unlikely to afford it. Thanks
