I have read other publicity and marketing books that were somewhat helpful but this book absolutely blew them out of the water. I went through it slowly because there were so many notes to take. I'm an industry insider and still I found myself learning some new tidbit on every page. After reading Publicize Your Book, I feel confident in my abilities to take an active and effective role in getting my soon-to-be releaesed debut notices.
There were tons of very practical information. Reading ... Read More

I have mixed feelings about this book. Publicize Your Book! does provide a nice overview of the publication process that will be helpful for first time authors. The book does not focus on any one type of book. Do you have a book published? Do you plan on having one published? Then yes, read this book.

It provides examples of good times and bad, all things ... Read More

I bought this book to see if there were things that i could be doing differently. I am a self-published author that always looks for other ways to get my work noticed. As much as I enjoyed reading this, I often felt like things were padded. I want the facts and channels I need to go through, for me, this just was not the one.

Not exactly for the self published or small publisher. You need additional information if you are going to publicize your book. Well written and some pearls of wisdom, but I'd keep researching in addition to this book.
